VA - Pulse Series (Soviet Electro.. MEGA RARE & PRECIOUS !)

Now for some FIRST RIPPED EVER Soviet mid 80s Electro !!

Ripped by Mu Tha, you rock ABSOLUTELY !

Those ones are strange.. love'em!
The proper gear is here : Yamaha DX7 & CX5, Roland Jupiter 4 & TR909
It really sounds like 81 or 82..

Here's the transcript of the text from the back of 'Pulse 1' :

Physical exercise to music can greatly help to organise rationally our work and rest. Both musical and human motion rhythms may be classed as 'functionnal', with an essential influence on Man's health and productivity.

The present record is a joint venture of the Melodia sound-recording firm and the USSR Sports Committee, first in a planned series under 'Pulse' heading meant to emphasize the vital importance of physical culture.

'Pulse 1' Of the 'Sports & Music' series is recommended to accompany coaching sessions, sports festivals, competitions and other active recreations.

The series will be sufficiently versatile to adapt to various purposes that music can serve in sports.

The series first disc acquaints the public with electronic music composed with the help of an individual musical computer, for the first time in the USSR.

The scores were created on the display with the subsequent playback on the magnetic tape. The composition is based on suites of contrasting instrumental miniatures.

Whe hope that the joint effort of Melodia and the USSR Sports Committee will promote Soviet electronic in Sports.

Lubov Bogdanova,
International Master of Sports

Attention, attention.. That's Alessandro Alessandroni, that's 1974, that's pretty rare and quite a.w.e.s.o.m.e
.
In this interview, when asked 'which was the most successful record or production, apart from the work with Morricone?'
.
Mr. Alessandroni (basically Morricone supa sidekick for those who wouldn't know..) stated : 'As far as success, none in particular, but as for personal satisfaction surely "Prisma Sonoro" on Sermi. The editor gave me total freedom, so I composed for a great orchestra with 16 violins, 4 violas, 4 cellos, it was truly fun. It isn't often that a producer leaves you free to compose whatever you want.'
.
Well.. What can I say ?
.
PUSH THE BUTTON !
.
And many thx for House303 for uploading this !! (on my library blog..)

Takeo Watanabe - A few soundtracks

Born in 1933, Takeo Watanabe, mostly known for his 73-75 strks for girly animated series, went to Paris to study music composition circa 1967, then back to home country a few years later. He then started to work for TMS Entertainment and Toei.

Died in 1989, he left a rather impressive discography of around 50 strks in 20 years (including Gundam tv series and movies)

Anyone can help regarding 'Sonda' music (<> a 70s polish tv show... that's a tough one ;-) )

Bartholomew came to me with the (strong!) urge of finding infos (and perhaps clean rips..) on the music from what it appears to be a cult polish tv show : Sonda.

.. "broadcasted between 1977 and 1989, it was presented by Zdzisław Kamiński and Andrzej Kurek. The program ended with the death of its hosts in a car accident on September 29, 1989...A total of 529 episodes were broadcast. Most of the broadcast tapes have been deleted."

Here are the samples he'd like us moog diggers to identify :

http://bartholomew.ovh.org/files/mp3/sonda_2.mp3

http://bartholomew.ovh.org/files/mp3/sonda_3.mp3

=> music from the titles..

Hope you could help!

Eat It Raw - Obscure Japanese Library compilation..

As requested, here's the 'Eat It Raw' compilation.

It features top notch 1968-1973 funk and grooves from some unknown asian friends.
That's REALLY good so I'd recommended it to anyone interested in that sort of thing...

But I REALLY don't know more... found nothing on the web as well....

My private great little blue bird brought me this one a few months ago and then all the track titles and id3v2 tags were completely messed up (<> as you know and most of the time, japanese characters don't appear greatly in our europeean computers..) so i renamed the tracks into 'Track X' patterns..

The whole thing (36 tracks/100Mb) packs 6 tracks from 6 different sources (both 'official' LPs and bootlegs I presume) :

Sukeban Guerrilla
The Spiders Movie Tracks
VA - Gangland War - The World of Akira Kobayashi
VA - Nikkatsu New Action - 1968 to 1971
VA - Nikkatsu New Action - Stray Cat Rock
VA - Teppoudama No Bigaku - The World Of Sadao Nakajima

'Stray Cat Rock' rings a bell ... I'll have to research more...

Anyway, over here for some deep asian grooves!

Feel free to pass the knowledge along in the comments if you can!

ThX
